Plainly: you have a 14-day right to change your mind. You keep that right until you export a finished document. Here's exactly how it works.
Your 14-day withdrawal right
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. If you withdraw and the exception below does not apply, you get a full refund.
Building your application — when the right ends
Building and exporting your German application is a digital service we carry out for you. You keep your 14-day withdrawal right until that service is complete. The service is complete when you export a finished document.
Before we send you to payment, you tick a box to confirm two things:
- you want us to start during the 14-day period, and
- you accept that the withdrawal right ends once the service is complete.
Straight after you pay, we email you a written confirmation of your purchase and the consent you gave, so you keep a permanent copy.
Until you export a finished document, the service is not complete and your 14-day right stays intact — you can withdraw for a full refund. Once you export a finished document, the service is complete and the withdrawal right ends. Any refund after that is a decision we make case by case.

The Review tier
Review is a human service. You can get a full refund of the Review tier any time before the human review has been delivered to you. Once the reviewer has sent your feedback, the service has been performed and the Review portion is no longer refundable as of right — goodwill refunds remain at our discretion. The Core portion still follows the rule above.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact support@firstday.work.
Because the merchant of record is Sold through Link, LLC (Stripe Managed Payments), the refund itself is issued through Stripe/Link to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank.
This doesn't limit your legal rights
Nothing here removes the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
